Adams, a graduate transfer from Eastern Washington, accounted for 100 touchdowns (90 passing, 10 rushing) over 25 games his last two years on the FCS level. Lockie had been biding his time behind 2014 Heisman winner Marcus Mariota.

Lockie appeared in 10 games last season, completing 21 of 28 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown.

Adams didn’t officially join the Ducks until Aug. 14.

Oregon opens its season against Adams’ former school on Sept. 5.
