Vani, playing at the Par-72 Beach course, had two double bogeys, two bogeys and three birdies, but it was still two shots short of the cut mark of top-65 and ties.

She totaled 146 and was tied 77th as the cut fell at one-under 144 at the tournament co-sanctioned by the LPGA.

The first two rounds were played at Par-73 Creek Course and the Par-72 Beach Course.

Also missing the cut were other two Indians, – Aditi Ashok (73-76), who was tied-109th and Diksha Dagar (78-72). The latter was also playing her maiden LPGA event and was tied-124th.

Kim Kaufman of the US was leading by two shots after a second successive 66, the second being on the Par-73 Creek Course, where she dropped just one bogey on the second, but had six other birdies and an eagle for a seven-under 66.

A day earlier she carded six-under 66 at the Beach Course with seven birdies and one bogey.

Kim was followed by Japan’s Haru Nomura (67-67) and Australian Su Oh (67-68).

The first round leader, Felicity Johnson of England slipped with a second round of 74 and was tied-ninth after a first round 65
