Vampire Survivors: How to Find and Open the Coffin in the Mad Forest
Players that are interested in unlocking Pugnala should first set their sights on obtaining the Milky Way Map in Vampire Survivors. Upon collecting that Relic, fans will gain access to a pause menu map, and indeed that gameplay feature is the key to locating the coffin in the Mad Forest. To earn the pause menu map, players should go to the Dairy Plant stage, which is unlocked by reaching Level 40 in the Inlaid Library, and travel in the direction that is indicated by the green arrow at the edge of the screen.

With the Milky Way Map in hand, fans should go to Vampire Survivors’ Mad Forest and access the pause menu by pressing “Esc” on a keyboard or the Option/Menu button on a controller. The map will be prominently featured at the center of this menu, and the question mark that is on it indicates the position of the coffin. Notably, pressing the “Show Guides” button in the bottom-right corner of the menu will add arrows to the edges of the screen, which players can use to navigate to the coffin very easily.
As fans approach the Mad Forest coffin, a ring of enemies will appear, and all of these foes must be slain before the casket can be opened. While these are certainly not the most difficult adversaries in the game, they do have a reasonable amount of health. As such, players may not be able to get through the enemies until they have spent some time leveling up and securing weapon evolutions in Vampire Survivors.
After dispatching the foes that surround the Mad Forest coffin, players should approach the object. This action will cause Pugnala to emerge from the box, and fans can now use gold to unlock her from the character select screen. Players may then want to test out the character, and indeed there are a couple of unlocks in Vampire Survivors for surviving with her.
