Vampire Survivors: How to Evolve Gatti Amari
To evolve the Gatti Amari, players must get the weapon to level eight, collect the Stone Mask passive item, and then open a chest after the 10-minute mark. For the uninitiated, Vampire Survivors’ Stone Mask is useful for getting more coins out of a run, and indeed it causes the Gatti Amari to transform into the Vicious Hunger. While this combination may seem a bit unintuitive upon first glance, it does make sense when more is known about the weapon evolution.

Specifically, the Vicious Hunger has a chance to transmute defeated enemies and items that are on the ground into coins. As such, this evolution is an interesting option for players that are working to unlock PowerUps in Vampire Survivors, though they do need to be a bit cautious about exactly when they perform the transformation. This is due to the fact that the Vicious Hunger has the power to transmute experience gems, which can make obtaining additional levels and upgrades more difficult.
Vampire Survivors: How to Evolve Shadow Pinion
The Shadow Pinion is evolved in a very similar fashion to the Gatti Amari, with the key difference being that players must obtain the Wings passive item rather than the Stone Mask. For full clarity, getting the base weapon to level eight and then opening a chest after the 10-minute mark will cause the Shadow Pinion to transform, provided that the player has the aforementioned passive item in hand. The evolution of this Vampire Survivors weapon is known as the Valkyrie Turner, and it is more straightforward than the Vicious Hunger.
Indeed, the Valkyrie Turner really is just an improved version of the Shadow Pinion, having higher area, damage, duration, and speed. This means that Vampire Survivors players should feel free to perform the transformation as soon as they are able to do so, as there is no downside to the evolution aside from having a reduced amount of one. Notably, the Valkyrie Turner is visually distinct from the Shadow Pinion, though that does not have a real impact on gameplay.
